The sandal, created to protect the foot from danger and bad weather, it is undoubtedly the first type of footwear worn by man and woman. Starting from the Egyptians up to the present day, the sandals have become more and more important accessories in the wardrobe. Capri has always been synonymous of handmade sandals, unique, rigorously researched and produced by hand. The story tells, that the Emperor Tiberius, who chose Capri as his residence in the last years of his life, arrived on the island wearing a pair of sandals with stiff sole and leather strips that are wrapped around the ankle.

The sandal is par excellence linked to the island of Capri for being comfortable . Today, centuries later, those same sandals, with the necessary modifications conquered thanks to the progress of the work and materials, have become the symbol of Italian craftsmanship throughout, but especially caprese thanks to the skilled hands of artisans from Campania. Starting from the research and by the combination of the materials every sole (in its three formats slim, regular and wedge) is created and propped where then will be applied to the jewel. The skins are cut and combined with jewels sewn on the upper and then be completed with the final cut. All the work is hand-made. The jewelry entirely embedded and created through plaster casts come welded and galvanized also by hand. Stones, coral and svarosvsky make each sandal unique and inimitable.
